Together in Saladita, we protect what we love.
Proyecto Saladita, a community nonprofit in Playa La Saladita, Mexico, unites locals and visitors to protect the coast through recycling, sustainability, and education.
Our Mission
Proyecto Saladita’s mission is to protect the coastal environment of Playa La Saladita, Guerrero Mexico, and surrounding communities by reducing plastic waste, building strong local recycling systems, and empowering people through education and action.
Our Vision
We see Playa La Saladita as a place where reducing waste and protecting the coast becomes part of daily life. By focusing on local action, community involvement, and practical solutions, we aim to build a model that works—and one we can help adapt and support in other coastal towns facing similar challenges.
If we don’t protect our coast, who will?
Plastic waste, polluted rivers, and vanishing mangroves threaten Saladita’s future. Human impact is undeniable — but our community acts. Through recycling and education, from classrooms to movie nights, we care for our coast. Change begins here, with us.
